Europe is so logical. I love it. Things here have similarities to the states, but for the most part everything is different; and more efficient. You have to pay a euro to rent a shopping cart (which is about $1.60 in usa), but when you bring the cart back, you get your money back. There are no infractions or petty harrassement from law enforcement - if they stop you, its because you are clearly doing something wrong. Driving is also totally different here. The cars have the right of way. If someone is hauling ass down a street, you have to get out of the way, you can't expect the laws to help you if you were not paying attention. There are not very many silly lawsuits here. Some company in America this past week took out a lawsuit against smart phones (pda-phones), and then filed a lawsuit a few days later against a whole slew of major electronics companies.
Don't get me wrong, I am an American, and I embrace that in different ways; it is certainly nothing I want to change, however there are a few things that often make me cringe, and it is nice to have a break from those things :)
